About

Reining in Color Farm is a family owned business. We have been breeding and raising Paint and Quarter horses for more than 20 years. It all began 24 years ago with a mare very near and dear to our hearts. Scootin’ Glory was the first horse our family had ever owned. Stacey had grown up, finished college and started a career before ever realizing her lifetime dream of owning a horse.

Scootin’ Glory

‘Mama Scooter’ was the start of everything we have today. ‘Mama Scooter’ died about 6 hours after foaling but left behind a beautiful legacy – a bay homozygous tobiano filly, Slidin’ tothe Stars (AKA Scooter). Scooter is the dam of many successful performance horses, including our stallion Hollywood Reminic and his full sister Reminis who has joined our small broodmare band. It is amazing the impact that this special horse had on our family and future.

While we began breeding for the pleasure of raising foals, we became more involved in various performance disciplines as we realized that the horses we produced had talent and athleticism. In the recent years we have more specifically become involved with reining horses. It has become apparent that there is a space in reining for tobiano Paints in particular. There are very few top quality tobianos in the NRHA show pen making it to the highest levels and biggest shows. While we also love the overo/splash Paints, they are numerous and have become the standard. So it is our goal to bring some of the top performing bloodlines together with the fabulous tobiano coloring.

Slidin’ Tothe Stars

We breed for mind, talent and color; color, of course, is desirable, but the least important. If we are not comfortable with the personality of a horse, if there is a positive test for a genetic disease or if it demonstrates unwilling behavior, it will not be in our breeding program. We want our clients to know they are getting the best when they take one of our horses for their own.

Feedback is always welcome and in an industry where customer service is not a priority, we aim to be the very best.
